About

Hi, I’m Kyle and I like beef.

There’s not much better than a double hamburger of the smashed variety on some potato buns. Make sure that the patties have a nice amount of crisp but aren’t too dry, like one of my all-time favorites in Mexico City..

And yes, on buns.

I’m not a strict carnivore. I’ve tried it before and didn’t think it was for me. Or maybe I just didn’t give it enough time.

This said, I still do like to throw in a full carnivore meal every now and again. This way, for example, I can get my body to absorb as much of that steak’s iron as possible without it being pulled away by some phytate-containing black beans and a corn tortilla.

And while beef is my top pick normally and I can never go wrong with a good bowl of birria (slow-cooked beef) in Mexico..

..I’ll get adventurous at times, eating tortoise meat in the Peruvian Amazon..

*I arrived late – only had some leftover scraps on the inside of the shell.

..or maybe some caiman at the local street market..

But don’t misunderstand me. I love my beef tacos on corn tortillas. It’s just that I sometimes opt to avoid the extras and stick to the meat for optimal nutrient absorption… and because I like it.

Why I Created This Site

Traveling when you have a restrictive diet can be a big hassle. And, while vegan and vegetarian diets have been around for decades and because of this it isn’t all that hard normally to find restaurants that cater to this, finding restaurants that understand and cater to a carnivore or meat/animal-based diet is another story.

Even if you do find a restaurant that serves a big steak and some other things that would qualify as animal-based, it’s probably just by luck that the dish meets these criteria.

So, I created this website to help people out while traveling.

Sure, you can always head to the closes supermarket and pick up some 80/20 ground beef for cheap, but then you’re going to miss out on one of my favorite parts of traveling… eating out and taking in the local culture.

What You’ll Find

Most of what you’ll find will be posts I’ve written from my own personal experiences. I travel and I eat meat… and I share this with you with the hopes that it’s helpful.

The goal here is to help other meat/animal-based and carnivore dieters who want to travel. And not just travel, but travel on more of a budget while still being able to explore and experience local culture and cuisine (to some extent).

I hope you find some value in my content here 🙂
